The Creek

Slish, slosh, through the creek,

my favorite place I’d always seek.

To sit and listen in the Spring,

to all of nature’s beautiful things.

And in the Summer it felt so cool,

I’d take the creek over any pool.

In the Fall the leaves would change in color-

and fall in the water- a sight like no other.

And although Winter was cold and a little bit barren,

there was nothing more refreshing than breathing that air in.

I wish there was a nice creek that I could walk to where I live. We have a couple of lakes, Tons of parks and a few historical sites. I enjoy sitting outside and taking in all the sights and sounds of nature myself. “Nature’s beautiful things” indeed. Lovely poem! jordanblackwood.com

It’s nice to sit and listen to nature, especially when there’re so many things in the world today that make unwanted noise. It helps you see the good that remains in the world, and gives you a more positive outlook. Well said brother!
